DV-TIDE Headend Simulator

enableTV offers its customers DV-TIDE™, a PC-based platform that simulates a cable headend. DV-TIDE delivers MPEG-2 transport streams, interactive applications, and Service Information (SI) to cable devices via RF. The DV-TIDE provides a low-cost solution for delivering headend functionality to support develoment teams, testing groups, and tradeshow demonstrations.

DV-TIDE gives engineers the ability to create and repeat identical test conditions on demand, automate a series of tests, and address boundary and error conditions that cannot be tested with a production headend. The DV-TIDE is quickly configurable and can easily target individual test points for defect isolation.

DV-TIDE is designed to work in a variety of environments, including the following:

• Facilities with no headends
• Facilities that have headends but need local testing configuration capabilities
• Facilities that require demonstrations without access to headends, including tradeshow floors
