iTV Dashboard Application Template

The iTV Dashboard™, which is available both as an OCAP and an ETV application, provides any type of up-to-date content—news, weather, sports, entertainment, or targeted information in a format that can be easily reskinned based on the content provider's needs. This makes iTV Dashboard an application template that can be changed to meet a variety of needs.

Why is this important? In the future, television viewers will have a wide range of applications from which to choose, ranging from bound rating and voting applications associated with specific programs to unbound applications for games, advertising, t-commerce and information, these functionalities will improve the overall user experience of iTV.

enableTV is in the process of building a number of application templates to make the development and implementation of applications at the headend or client set-top box a more simple reality. In the near future, our relationships with content providers will result in a package of application templates and content that will be available to MSOs to enhance the iTV offerings to their consumers.
